Pet services commission
10% (inc GST)
Dog walkers, groomers, boarders, trainers, mobile washes, pet taxis, home vets, photographers, pet-friendly tradies. Half of Mad Paws (20%) and Pawshake (19%).
Pet products commission
5% (inc GST)
Perth home businesses selling beds, toys, treats, collars, food. Well below Etsy (~10% all-in) and Amazon (8–15%).
Business membership
$19 / month (inc GST)
For people running pet businesses. Halved commission, priority placement, and analytics. Reward the people who love animals for a living.
Verified Seller badge
$9 one-off (inc GST)
Optional. Runs a real identity check through Stripe Identity. Cost pass-through, tiny margin.

The positioning
Cheaper than most — but not the lowest
Being the absolute cheapest paints a target on your back and squeezes everyone else in the market. We'd rather sit comfortably below the big players (Mad Paws, Pawshake, Etsy, Amazon) and keep the retail side fair for the smaller operators trying to make an honest living from doing right by animals.
Every trust and safety feature — AI moderation, reverse-image scanning for stolen pet photos, microchip and breeder-registry deep-links, phone and email reputation checks — is free. We don't charge for protection. Protection is the product.

A ring-fenced buffer for legal costs and animal-welfare grants. If we never need the legal side, it stays in welfare.

We display every price GST-inclusive and set the GST portion aside immediately — even before turnover crosses the $75k ATO threshold. Nothing to catch up on.
Public accounting
When there's meaningful revenue, we'll publish a plain-English summary each year of what came in and where it went.
Company structure — honest note
Why we're a Pty Ltd, not a charity
To take commission on services and products, Perth Safe Pet has to be able to distribute revenue — which a registered charity (ACNC) legally cannot do. So Perth Safe Pet is a for-purpose Pty Ltd, operating with animal-first governance and a public reinvestment commitment. A companion welfare fund may follow once there's meaningful revenue to fund one.
It's the right structure for what we're trying to do — and we'd rather tell you that plainly than dress it up as something it isn't.
