Start with the animal

Vaccination, microchip, and desexing details make listings trustworthy and help the new owner care properly.
Puppies — breeder registration number is required
Under WA's Dog Amendment (Stop Puppy Farming) Act 2021, every advertisement offering a puppy for sale must include the seller's breeder registration number issued by their local council. Perth Safe Pet won't publish a puppy listing without one.
Take your time
There's no rush. A patient, considered rehoming almost always ends better for everyone — especially the pet.
Ask questions
It's okay to be selective. A good home welcomes questions about routine, space, and experience.
